Dog Friendly Spots in Wicker Park

October 23, 2021 | Food and Drinks

Sometimes we write about family-friendly spots around the Inn, other times we write about the best date night ideas, or the perfect staycay itinerary with you and your gal pals. But we realized we were missing some of humans very closest companions in our shared plans. Dogs are usually a humans best friend, a great solo travel companion, and the furry assurance you need on a night in a new bed, city, or long drive. With this realization in mind, we’ve compiled a list of four-legged pup-friendly businesses and spaces to visit when in Wicker Park or near it.

Wicker Park’s Dog Park

The first and certainly friendliest of places for your pup to visit when visiting Wicker Park is its namesake park that includes it’s very own dog park. And believe us, as long time residents of Wicker Park – this is a main attraction, even for those without pups of their own!

Big Star patio

It’s one of our go to spots for walking tacos, quest fundido, and killer margaritas but its also a very welcoming restaurant for your pups. You won’t be alone when bringing your pup along to dine with you on their very large patio. Even better, just as you’re being seated, your pups are being served fresh water in their own bowls.

Mott Street patio

Believe us when we say they have one the best burgers you’ll want to try when visiting Wicker Park. But don’t stop there, their menu is impeccable and their patio allows your best pal to tag along for this delicious dinner.

Milk and Honey Cafe’s patio

Grab a coffee, breakfast, lunch, or a glass of wine and relax on their patio with your pup while you watch Division street move around you. One of the best spots for people watching on the weekend!

Small Cheval patio or a few steps from the 606 trail!

Hands down one of the best spots for a Chicago burger, Small Cheval allows pups on their patio while you bite into the arguably best burger of your life. But you can also take it to go and walk in one direction to a sweet local park or a few steps further walk off the calories along the 606.

Paradise Park

Make a reservation here and let them know if advance that your pup is joining and they’ll prepare with the fullest of pampering. This place is not only super fun visually but it’s delicious pizza pies will be totally worth your visit.

Smoke Daddy’s patio

Regardless if you did or didn’t know this BBQ joint welcomes pups, your dog will likely sniff their way to Smoke Daddy’s. It smells that good.

Tortello’s

Who wouldn’t want handmade pasta, a delicious Aperol spritz, and your pup by your side while you people watch in Wicker Park? It’s a must visit for pasta lovers of all kinds.

Antique Taco

Named one of the best places for tacos in America, ya’ll! Grab marg and one of their famous salads and dine along the colorful walls of Antique Taco’s patio with your four-legged friend at your side. Win, win if you ask us.
